Recent Projects

A recent bathroom project undertaken at a house in Caversham. They wanted a full strip out all new and walls and floor fully tiled. The old polystyrene tiles were removed from the ceiling and the ceiling reskimmed. I had hoped to drop all the pipework under the floor, however when stripping the old bathroom out I found 100mm deep joists so there was no way of doing that. So all pipework was run surface and boxed in. Customer even choose a Bluetooth speaker light, that connects to your phone so when in the bath you can play your music and it has a choice of 10 colours and is controlled and turned on and off via a remote control.

Underfloor Heating Project

Here are some pictures from an underfloor heating project. This was a new build 4 bedroom bungalow and instead of radiators decided on having underfloor heating in the property. Each room is its own zone being controlled by its own room stat. Here you can see the pipe before the screws, after the screws are laid and via a thermal camera the heating turned on. New megaflow cylinder and 22mm hot and colds run through property for water pressure.

To demonstrate the effectiveness of UFH please see the above images where a concrete floor has not heating installed and the image to the right taken with a  thermal imaging camera shows how cold the floor is - even in comparison to  the walls.

Burghfield Bathroom

This new bathroom in  Burghfield was fitted with a new square shower bath. Grey tiles from Tileflair, along with a matching Tile effect vinyl flooring. Again a Aqualisa quartz shower valve. This one has a fixed head. A new toilet and basin and a cross between a traditional radiator and towel rail.

Wetroom built for Reading Council

These two examples were wet rooms for Reading Borough Council. They were similar in that they all both needed all the pipework hidden, pumped shower wastes, however there was a requirement for the pumps to be hidden but accessible. Trays were dropped into the floor and then covered by a non slip vinyl flooring. Mira Select mixer valve showers were fitted. Then one had a toilet and basin unit, whereas due to the shape of the other it had individual toilet and basin.

Shinfield Bathroom and En Suite

This bathroom and ensuite in Shinfield were both complete rip outs all the way down to the plasterboard having to be replaced due to the tiles damaging it too badly when they were removed. The Ensuite had a wall to wall Mira Shower tray fitted in it, with Lakes shower doors. Tiled walls and floor, new Aqualisa Quartz digital shower with a fixed head. Then an Eastbrook close-coupled toilet and cistern fitted.

The main bathroom was the same again, fully stripped back. New plasterboard. An Eastbrook carronite bath was installed with an Aqualisa Quartz digital shower. A feature wall was tiled in the bath, then matching wall and floor tiles. With Eastbrook sanitaryware again and a Lakes bath shower screen.

Tadley Bathroom and En Suite

This Tadley bathroom was a Mira offset quadrant shower tray. With a self clean shower door (possibly Corum). Dark grey tiles from Tileflair. An aqualisa Q smart shower, driftwood style tiled flooring and an Eastbrook anthracite towel rail.

Wokingham Wetroom

This Wokingham wet room was fitted with a standard Impey wet deck set in the floor, having removed the top layer of screed. A Whale pump fitted out of sight in the airing cupboard. A standard Mira Select Flex mixer shower, along with a Impey 6mm glass panel. Impeys new wall mounted slimline seat fitted in the shower area. Matching natural grip grab rails. Then new Marley anti slip flooring and a new toilet and basin.

Here are some before and after pictures of a job we completed in Newbury where we turned a standard bathroom into a modern, easy access, functional wet room.

Using up to date equipment and fittings we created a beautiful but practical installation meeting all of the clients needs.
